CASA CONNOR
Construction for the new Pasitos de Luz centre began in November 2011. Casa Connor is being built to look like a castle. It is a legacy created by family and friends of Connor Vanderveen. Connor passed away in October 2011 from Hunter’s Syndrome – a genetic degenerative disease with a terminal diagnosis. When Casa Connor is completed it will house a very large medical services centre, a Halliwick Pool and several outdoor play areas. It will accommodate over 200 children and efforts to bring in the necessary support are on their way. |
Last year through a generous Canadian donor the CCSHF was able to donate $40,000 CAD to the construction of Casa Connor. It is Yolanda Sanchez’s (Founder and Director of Pasitos de Luz) dream to create this extensive facility to provide loving care and everything else the children at Pasitos need to enrich their lives. This will include physical, medical and speech therapy and even respite relief for families. If you can assist in building this “castle” for the special needs children of Puerto Vallarta and Nuevo Vallarta, please consider making a tax-deductible donation today through the Canadian Children’s Shelter of Hope Foundation.” |
