Why Choose Us

Your generosity directly changes the lives of children and families in the Bay of Banderas.

Every donation helps provide essential care—safe shelter, nutritious meals, medical and dental support, therapy, and educational opportunities—to children with disabilities and families facing severe hardship. We are a small, hands-on charity, and we see the impact of every dollar every single day. When you give to CCSHF, you’re not just making a donation—you’re offering hope, stability, and a brighter future to those who need it most.

I have been visiting Puerto Vallarta since 1995, initially working with the Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza and Pasitos de Luz. After becoming involved with RISE, I saw a need for a Canadian foundation that would be able to contribute time and donations to disadvantaged children living in the Bay of Banderas. We have been fulfilling our goal of assisting children to have happier and healthier lives since 2007. In my other life, I am a Registered Nurse in a busy ER of a Toronto hospital.
Anne Marie
President
After my first visit to Puerto Vallarta and surrounding areas in 1989, I knew that this magical place would someday be my home. I had the opportunity to return on numerous occasions due to my 25 year career as a Flight Attendant on layovers and vacations. During the 90’s I participated in the conception of Children of the Dump Charities and In 2013, I finally moved to a residence in central PV and have been involved in helping the community in various ways. Currently, I am a leader at Southwest Airlines as an Inflight Supervisor. I am excited to join the team at CCSHF and create substantial opportunities for our neighbors in the Banderas Bay.

I approached CCSHF for the first time 10 years ago when I was working as a volunteer in the Altruism Festival in Puerto Vallarta, I got to know Anne Marie and her foundation, and saw the amazing job CCSHF was doing connecting generous caring Canadians with charities in the Banderas Bay area, improving the life of so many children. I was also shocked to see how much will the Canadian community had in taking an active part to help in our communities development. This inspired me to take action and to be an asset in CCSHF activities; As a Mexican, and more importantly as a PV Local, I can see in situ how all the help is implemented on a daily basis and have real-time feedback on all the children’s needs. It’s nice to feel that I can be helpful with my community, meeting such great humans beings on the way.
